Warung Padang Kecag in Karangasem

Delicious food for a reasonable price and friendly staff.After renovation even better than before.

Called in here as a bit early to check in to Bayshore Bungalow at Candidasa for our regular 3 day stay.Quite a hidden gem this Warung with its open air dining and beautiful gardens.The Calamari and fish were excellent.My wife's Chicken salad and Mie Goreng same same.Drinks were cold and refreshing.Coming to Candi for a few days this place is definitely worth a visit.A short note. The toilets were very clean but the Ladies had a broken seat. Please fix. Thanks for a great lunch. Pete and Chrissie Johnson Balivilla4u.

This place is excellent! Great food taste, good selections and wine. Try the grilled fish in orange sauce (great!) and the mixed satey!Staff speaking good English and very friendly. When we went the restaurant was almost empty which must be a sacrifice due to the remote location. This restaurant is a clear recommendation!There is free WiFi.You can pay cash or by card (2% surcharge for credit card payment and as I could see no AMEX accepted).The second even we went, we had 2 bats flying thru the restaurant from time to time. It's for sure a bit unusual, but that's nature :)

We went to this place because of the good reviews.....This place is in the middle of nowhere & i suspect most people come here because of the reviews? We arrived, the place was empty....there was one lady in the kitchen who gave us a menu that had photos of 5 star cuisine.....the owner? came from the shop next door to help out.....not really a restaurant, more like small warung......so the food arrives & it dosent look anything like the photos!...its food you would expect at any warung....& the price? That matched the fake photos! for example.....ice tea 35k whooia! a 200ml plastic bottle of coke with Rp4500 printed on label 25k thats coke for bintang price!! So four, half eaten meals, cost 345k & the owner quickly appeared again when it was time to pay! The lady who took our orders, cooked the food, waited our table, washed the dishes.....had made a mistake & not charged us enough! Hahaaaa! Poor thing.......anyways this place isnt a restaurant. Its more like a money making scam.

Really nice restaurant. We have been travelling through the east of Indonesia for a month now and this is the best authentic Indonesian style food we have had so far.

Very nice restaurant next the candi beach Resort. Very nice staff and a great menu is providing a great experience there. The garden and the area there is very nice and worth a visit

Judging based on price only, it's double the prices you pay in other local Warungs. The atmosphere is nice and of course better than local Warungs, but that doesn't justifies the prices in my eyes.

The food is good 👍👍Personal ist friendly, but the toilet could be better 😪 but we come back anyway🌹

Very good food! A little bit more expensive than in a "normal" Warung but worth it :)Try the gurami fish pepes and the Black Rice Pudding with Vanilla ice cream 😊

Food and service was great. Worth the stop (or as we did... Stop and turn around if you miss the small street) as very clean and quiet location nestled amongst resorts by the beach.

In my opinion, the taste was not good enough, compare to the price. The portion also too small. The view from the cafe just standard. I couldn't find anything special here. I can only say the place just cozy enough and near to the beach.

Good food! The portions are big enough and the drinks are cold :-) The food would be better if it was more spicy but that was probably my fault for not asking.. Then it would have gotten 5 stars. Will come back again:-)

Good food, good staff and nice place,but the price little bit expensive.My favourite food is grill mahi mahi with oranges sauce,very good.But the chicken curry is salty.3 times i eat this and always salty.

Good restaurant BUT don't order the beef tenderloin because well... it is not really from the tenderloin. My steak was flat and wavy with holes. Inside it looked like cherry marmelade (see photo). Left it on the plate, no comment from the staff about it, 5000 IDR discount...If you stick to the local dishes, you'll have a good experience. My fish on the first visit was the best one I had in Indonesia so far. My wife's ratatouille was good too but it really was more like a wrap :)

Dinner was amazing! I came here and ordered the fresh lobster grilled with garlic butter and you choose your lobster & they weigh them in front of you. Served with salad and French fries. Salad was served with a delicious vinaigrette. My friends ordered the steak and both of them cleaned their plates. I had the spring rolls, big enough to share with the table, two friends had the chicken soup, which they said was delicious & one had the chicken salad. The servings were large, in fact I could have split my lobster. I wish I would have found this restaurant sooner as we would have eaten here numerous times.

Just wow! Been in Bali for a couple of weeks now and this may be the best warung we've eaten at yet. Had the soup to start, Cap Chay and calamari in chilli for mains. Dishes were so flavoursome and satisfying. Pure umami! Banana fritters for dessert and they were fantastic.Sampled no less than 6 local cocktails between the 2 of us, all great. Komang served us really well and he also served as the master cocktail crafter!Will be back this trip and the next.

I was here now for the second time this week and I must say, my fish was extraordinary delicious. The service is very good and the atmosphere is good. Highly recommended.

Yesterday I had a wonderful breakfast in the Warung Padang Kecag.In the background I could hear my favorite music, the Rolling Stones. I love it, because the staff is so friendly. It could not be better.

Very nice location if you plan to have a romantic dinner in one of the 3 gazebos. They also have plenty of space at their regular tables. Simple and good food, friendly staff, price is reasonnable.

Well run little restaurant. Food is tasty and well presented. A great alternative to the restaurants of the resorts nearby.Highly recommended.

Firstly what is most important is the food...And that is fantastic ..Mix of Indonesian to pizza and pasta ..Secondly is the service ..Being excellent...with a great smile make you feel most comfortable and welcoming.....Plus they do provide a free pick up and drop off service to near hotel ...All in all, the price is reasonable and big portion..So value for money with a smile 😃

Simply place in garden. Not so much wonderful meal but good and tasty. Helphul and kind staff. Price for main course about 50-70 rp.

Average quality of food. Not bad, but not coming back.

The fish was freshly caught and the vegetables dish was very fresh too. The family had an enjoyable time. They are not pricey at all considering the good food quality.

Do not be fooled by the similar Google reviews of nearby restaurants - This one step above the rest!We are seasoned Asian travellers in search of legitimate powerful local flavours and this place has delivered. It is as close to authentic street food as you will find in Candidasa with all the comfort and safety of a full sized kitchen. Prawn papaya salad, Tom yam, beef rendang and sweet chilli fried calamari, all excellently prepared. (Ask for spicy spicy)

Best food we had so far in Bali. The seafood platter is just fantastic
